As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a higher-education location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and remain highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will support access control processes, respond to calls for assistance, document observations, and communicate clearly with students, staff, and visitors while delivering strong customer service. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of campus buildings, parking areas, walkways, and perimeter areas, observing for unusual activity and helping to deter policy violations and/or criminal activity.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with access control issues, alarms, disturbances, and calls for service.
• Document patrol activities, incidents, and observations in written reports and/or electronic logs, and promptly communicate relevant information to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.
• Support campus operations by providing directions and general assistance, monitoring entrances and common areas as assigned, and coordinating with local law enforcement and/or campus officials when requested.

Minimum Requirements:

• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Handcuffs, pepper spray, and/or baton experience is preferred.
• Pepper spray certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
• CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
• Baton certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
