Allied Universal® Event Services, is looking to hire a Regional Human Resources Manager to join our team, supporting the Western Region. This position plays a key role in enhancing employee relations, ensuring workplace compliance, managing HR training programs, and conducting workplace investigations.

This position is considered hybrid-remote and may at times require overnight travel (10-15%). The salary range is $70,000 to $77,000 plus auto allowance of $195/per pay period.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Employee Relations & Investigations: Investigate, document, and respond to employee complaints, including potential legal issues and EEOC charges, ensuring compliance with internal policies and legal standards.
  • Compliance & Documentation: Ensure adherence to hiring practices, personnel documentation, licensing, performance evaluations, and other compliance items (e.g., LDW report, I-9s).
  • Training & Development: Conduct training for managers and supervisors on employee relations, labor law compliance, positive employment practices, and legal issue avoidance.
  • Termination & Unemployment Claims: Manage employee terminations, review supporting documentation, and respond to Department of Labor inquiries for unemployment claims.
  • Retention & Human Capital Management: Participate in strategies to improve employee retention and support human capital initiatives.
  • Coaching & Mentorship: Coach HR designees, branch managers, and other HR personnel in branch offices.
  • Claims Management: Oversee employee relations and claims management across the region, ensuring proper documentation to mitigate litigation risks.
  • HR Compliance Support: Assist HR Director and legal team in sensitive investigations and compliance program administration.
  • Policy Enforcement: Ensure corporate policies and programs are appropriately enforced, including licensing, leaves of absence, status changes, and performance evaluations.
  • Overtime & Turnover Reduction: Work with branch managers to develop strategies to reduce overtime and improve employee retention.
  • Work Environment & Grievance Resolution: Foster a positive work environment by managing complaints, grievances, and conducting focus groups as needed to address employee concerns.
  • Regional Travel: Regularly travel throughout the region to engage with operations teams, address serious allegations, and ensure consistent HR practices.

Qualifications:

  • Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field, with at least 2 years of HR Generalist experience or above or experience in lieu of a degree (5 years of experience as an HR Generalist, HRBP, or manager level).
  • Leadership: Prior experience in a supervisory role, with the ability to train and guide managers on employment law and supervisory best practices.
  • Communication Skills: Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively across all organizational levels.
  • Time Management: Demonstrated ability to handle multiple competing priorities and meet deadlines efficiently.
  • Technology Proficiency: High proficiency in Microsoft Office and HR software applications.
  • Judgment & Discretion: Professional, articulate, and able to make independent judgments while maintaining strict confidentiality.
  • Driver’s License: Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (no major violations in the last 36 months), and ability to safely operate a vehicle.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP certification
