As a Security Officer Technology Building Access Control in Lake Forest, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at an aero and defense location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that may help reduce security-related incidents. You will support employees and visitors with clear communication and customer service, document observations, and work with your team to respond to concerns with integrity. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Control access at vehicle and pedestrian entry points by checking identification, issuing visitor credentials, and directing authorized personnel to the correct areas.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and notify site leadership and emergency services when appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, hangars, parking areas, and perimeter routes to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
  • Monitor alarms, cameras, and access control systems when assigned, and investigate alerts according to post orders.
  • Perform badge and property screening checks as directed by site procedures, and report suspected policy violations through the proper channels.
  • Complete detailed, timely reports of patrol activities, incidents, and observations using written logs and/or electronic reporting systems.
  • Support a controlled environment in areas with sensitive programs by following escalation protocols and respecting information handling requirements.
  • Provide directions and general assistance to visitors and staff, including coordinating escorts to restricted areas when required by site policy.
  • Work with Allied Universal leadership and site contacts to communicate hazards, maintenance concerns, and operational issues observed during patrols.
  • Participate in drills and site briefings, and follow instructions for evacuation, shelter-in-place, and other emergency actions when appropriate.
  • Working environments and conditions may vary by client site.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have at least 1 year of security experience.
  • Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
  • Be 21 years of age or older.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • A guard card/license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
