As an Armed Patrol Officer at an aero and/or defense location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will respond to concerns, document observations, and communicate clearly with site contacts while delivering a strong customer service experience. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an aero and defense location.
• Carry and maintain issued firearm and related equipment in accordance with Allied Universal requirements, post orders, and applicable laws and/or regulations.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, controlled areas, parking areas, and perimeter to help to identify and report suspicious activity, hazards, and/or policy violations.
• Control access at gates, lobbies, and/or checkpoints by verifying identification, monitoring visitor logs, and observing deliveries and vehicles for compliance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, initiate notifications as required, and complete accurate security-related reports and documentation.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a valid armed guard card and/or license.
• Pepper spray certification is preferred.
• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
