As a Security Officer - Patrol Driver Nights in Columbus, OH, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. Join Allied Universal at a busy manufacturing and industrial location as an unarmed patrol officer in a driving post. You will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, remain highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, support access points, and assist with badge checks. You will also provide strong customer service and clear communication while partnering with site teams, living our agile, reliable, innovative, people-first culture and acting with integrity.

Pay Rate: $20.15 / Hour

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients and site personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols throughout industrial buildings, production areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify maintenance or hazard concerns to report.
  • Monitor access points and verify authorization for visitors, vendors, and contractors; follow sign-in and badge procedures and direct individuals to appropriate areas.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including alarms, disputes, and medical events, and notify appropriate internal contacts and/or public responders when required.
  • Complete timely written reports and logs, document unusual activity, and communicate shift updates to Allied Universal leadership and/or the client point of contact.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Customer Service Experience - preferred.
  • Access Control/Badge Experience - preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
