As a Security Officer - Foot Patrol Officer in Cary, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer supporting a government education location. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents. You will communicate clearly with staff, visitors, and responders, document observations, and provide helpful customer service. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to site staff, students, visitors, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and calls for assistance in a calm, problem-solving manner, and notify site leadership and/or public emergency services as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, parking areas, and the perimeter to help identify unusual activity, unsecured doors, and other concerns for follow-up.
• Support access control by monitoring entrances, confirming authorization, and directing visitors to sign-in processes and designated areas per site policy.
• Prepare clear written reports of incidents, patrol observations, and actions taken, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal management and site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be 21+ years of age.
• Be able to ride a bike.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
