Allied Universal® is seeking an experienced and results-driven sales leader to join our team as Vice President, Business Development (VPBD). This pivotal role is responsible for managing and driving a high-performing team of Business Development Managers (BDMs) to achieve and exceed sales revenue and profit objectives throughout a multi-state region. As a leader in the security services industry, the VP of Sales will have a direct impact on shaping the future of safety and security solutions throughout the region. By fostering meaningful client relationships and developing innovative strategies, the sales leader will contribute to redefining industry standards while delivering exceptional service that reflects our company values.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in sales leadership, a deep understanding of complex sales processes, and the ability to inspire and develop a results-oriented sales team. RESPONSIBILITIES:

Leadership and Team Management:

  • Recruit, onboard, train, and develop a team of Business Development Managers (BDMs) to achieve and exceed sales targets.
  • Conduct joint client visits to monitor and coach team members, ensuring quality customer interactions.
  • Foster a collaborative and results-oriented environment by modeling and aligning leadership behaviors that support the business development process.

Sales Strategy and Execution:

  • Drive the sales process to ensure quality proposals that align with client needs and secure profitable new business.
  • Oversee and manage sales performance metrics, including pipeline growth, sales effectiveness ratios, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Review bid specifications, contracts, and pricing to ensure alignment with company objectives and resolve related issues.

Client Engagement and Market Growth:

  • Partner with internal stakeholders, including the Regional President, Enterprise Accounts, Government Services, and Specialized Service Offerings, to develop and implement market growth strategies
  • Represent the company by actively participating in industry and business development organizations, building a strong network in the local marketplace.

Data Management and Reporting:

  • Ensure all sales data is accurately maintained in Salesforce.com, including correspondence, proposals, and reports.
  • Provide detailed analysis and reporting on sales activity and effectiveness to senior leadership.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: (Must have’s)

  • Must possess one of the following:
    • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field with at least 5 years of sales management experience.
    • Associate’s degree with 7 years of sales management experience or a high school diploma with 15 years of sales management experience will also be considered.
  • Experience developing and engaging teams to achieve superior results.
  • Ability to lead in a collaborative environment, identify and solve problems, and adapt to evolving priorities.
  • Proven success managing large, complex sales processes in a service-based industry
  • Demonstrated excellence in sales goal achievement
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills (written and oral).
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to strategically plan sales activities and prioritize tasks.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM tools, including Salesforce.
  • Ability to travel to client sites and throughout the regional multi state territory up to 50%

Preferred Qualifications: (Nice to have)

  • Successful experience managing the Request for Proposal (RFP) process from initiation to presentation.
  • Knowledge of marketing trends and competitive strategies within the service or security industry.
